Coffee with CASA – July 25th

Join us July 25th at the Monroe County CASA office for Coffee with CASA! If you've ever considered becoming a CASA Volunteer or Child Visit Monitor, now is the time! The CASA program has been assigned to nearly 600 children in our community this year, and 2018 is only half over. Stop in for coffee and a snack to ask questions, talk to current volunteers and learn more about what it's like to advocate for a child. For more information call 812-333-CASA and ask for Amber. Monroe County CASA Announces New Volunteer Opportunity

Monroe County CASA is in need of Child Visit Monitors, a new position created to help observe the situation of children on CASA’s waitlist. Due to an influx of abuse and neglect cases in our community, over 100 children are currently without an advocate. This new volunteer position will help to monitor the children through monthly visits until a CASA advocate is available. The Child Visit Monitor will visit a child or sibling group each month in the current placement location. Quilt Raffle to Benefit Monroe County CASA

(From the Herald Times - June 2nd, 2017) Monroe County CASA is pleased to announce the 2017 “Safe Homes, Safe Kids” quilt raffle. Tickets are now available, but the quilt, made by Pat Surra, will be raffled off at the Fourth Street Arts Festival on September 3rd, 2017. The quilt design was created by Carrie Nelson of Miss Rosie’s Quilt Company and then was modified by Surra.
