Objectivity, tenacity, and good communication skills are some of the key characteristics of great CASA volunteers. We’ll teach you the rest during our comprehensive volunteer training program that empowers individuals to become effective advocates for children in need. Our training covers topics such as:

  • The roles and responsibilities of the CASA or CVM
  • Family dynamics of abuse and neglect
  • Child protection law
  • Interacting with children and families, case managers and other professionals that volunteers will interact with
  • Report writing (specific to CASA training only)

2022 Training Sessions:

September 12, 14, 15 (Child Visit Monitor Training)
Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30-8:30 p.m.

September 19-October 10 (CASA Advocate Training)
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday evenings 5:30-8:30 p.m.
